The Campaign Engine
We built The Engine for a Maine campaign while compiling a detailed database of Maine citizens with addresses and phone numbers. We can customize the system for any state, but there will be additional charges to acquire phone numbers and addresses and voter characteristics.
Donation processing: Our
donation processing system allows your campaign or organization to accept donations online (MCEA-compliant) and streamlines the recording of all donations.
We can process the online payments on your behalf or customize the system to work directly with your merchant
account so you have access to the funds immediately. Our online donation system accepts credit card
payments (MC, Visa, Amex), electronic checks, and Paypal. The donation management system generates Excel
spreadsheets compatible with the Maine Ethics Commission electronic
filing requirements. You can also use our system to manually record
donations received via cash or check offline and include them in the
electronic filing report.
Direct mail: With our comprehensive database of Maine citizens, including donation habits and voter characteristics, we can develop highly targeted mailing lists to help
direct your message to the best possible audience. You can also generate your own mailings lists by town quickly and easily.
We will interface with your designated direct mail service provider to deliver
de-duped lists (one piece of mail per household.) If you're not using a mail processing service we can
provide USPS NCOA lookup to ensure you're sending mail to legitimate addresses that have not changed.
Door-to-door canvassing: As with the mailing lists you can generate detailed Excel spreadsheets
of walking lists by town that include information about
members of each household. You can filter the lists by political party, voter / non-voter, age group, likely donor, etc.
Volunteer coordination: Generate volunteer signups on your website, at events and over the phone. The Engine will help you track
volunteers and how they can help the campaign. With different levels of access volunteers can use the Engine to help with phone banking and other efforts.
Phone banks: The phone banking module has a very
simple user interface that makes it easy to train volunteers and staff.
The system allows for customized target groups, quotas
and calling scripts. Being web-based you can have volunteers and staff
working from anywhere with internet access. The phone banking module
records all details about callers and call results including success
rate, average duration, calls made per shift. The system also
automatically maintains time cards for paid staff members. It allows you to choose action items for each phone call (e.g. send yardsign, add email address to volunteer list, send t-shirt, coming to event.) If you do not have staff or volunteers to make the calls we have a network of experienced callers.
Polling: We can help you use our phone banking system for voter ID polling within your campaign or objective polling done outside the campaign. We can use your callers or ours. We can help you craft the questions with our polling experts. Polling reports show total results, crosstabs, and individual calls.
GOTV: Get out the vote efforts are much easier if you used our phone banking system to track all your voter ID phone calls, and our database to track all your direct mail. You'll know which towns to focus your calls and advertising in, and have an easy means to call every person inclined to support your campaign. With The Campaign Engine and a small group of staff and volunteers you can make thousands of calls in one day... from humans.
